Years ago I went on a rsilent retreat in Crestone, CO. I stayed (alone) in a tiny cottage on the side of a mountain and meditated and painted for four days. The noises in the night were terrifying!
I brought with me some photos my mom took on her trip to Africa. One of the photos was a wall of wooden African masks. The masks were so fascinating with their expressions so I painted them. They felt like protector spirits in a strange way. I wish I had that photo to show you...what I do have is this painting, still in my archives ready to go to your house!.
